DANIELA ANAYA AMAYA
Dancer - Performing Artist

Ana Maria Castro
Dancer. Performing artist
I met Daniela Anaya in the second semester of 2015 when we met in all the basic cycle subjects. There I was able to meet her and begin to get an idea of her as an artist in training, partner and friend. From my perspective, I felt that Daniela was always characterized by being a committed, passionate person who achieves what she wants and strives for what interests her.
At that time I was able to notice the great passion and joy that dance generated in her, in addition to identifying her first strengths, dedication and organization. Then we carried out the staging project together, where she played the role of choreographer, at that moment I could feel an interest that was beginning to be born in composing and scenic precision.
During the professional cycle we shared several classes, such as Basic Technique of Classical Ballet and Basic Technique of Contemporary Dance, in which we met several times and where she progressively demonstrated her technical mastery in these two areas and her growth day by day. I just have to say that there are some aspects in which he could continue working as his focus and his speed, which although it is a strength, sometimes he stops listening to the group to go at his own pace.
In the area of staging, such as Choreographic Composition and Dance Repertoire, I was able to notice her multiple knowledge together with a very good analytical capacity that has always characterized her. She is able to exploit these aspects in her contributions in class and her clearly supported writings.
The Laboratories that I have shared with her are the spaces where I have seen her most in a constant compositional and corporal search. In addition, in this area he has shown his voice as a performing artist, his interest in composition, detail and the organic. Here I realized his desire to have everything very clear and clean in his stage creations. I would recommend letting yourself be surprised by the instantaneous and by the risk you take in places where you do not feel comfortable, such as exploration with your voice and acting, since they are universes where you could enhance some aspects.
With Daniela we have also shared some Contemporary Dance Ensembles such as Exquisite Corpse and Quitapesares. In both, I was able to highlight again his great facility to compose, and the memory to retain each of the sequences, his way of contributing to the creation through constructive criticism, his own convictions, a high degree of leadership and recognition of his own that he carried out throughout throughout the whole process of collective creation.
Daniela is a dancer whom I have seen grow both personally and artistically, with many abilities and, like everyone else, some aspects in which she must continue working. I am certain that she will grow much more and achieve each of her dreams because she is a dedicated, passionate and self-confident woman.
